Brian-
1) Steel or plastic drum?
2) Stored where;
a) inside a cool fairly temp constant unheated shed?
b) inside a heated storage area
c) inside a heated service area where cars come in loaded with snow that melts to fill the air with moisture
d) if a steel drum- is it coated in any way and what product was the drum made to handle (ie methanol)
3) does the seal hold a vacuum or pressure that is noticeable when bung is opened?
4) Where did it come from to start with? (fresh?)
Put the drum up on a couple of 2x's to keep it off of the floor, preventing sweat and if a steel drum- corrosion. Not a bad idea to even tightly wrap it in plastic for overwinter storage. Remember your only enemy is air movement in and out of the drum. Keep the pump out of the drum.
If # 3 is true and it begins as fresh product- then I know of folks that easily preserve the product for over 6 months, no matter if it is E98 or E85. |

I switched my car to E85 this year and have loved it. BUT i am moving to Rock Springs wy and there is no E-85 pumps near by (according to the E85 website there is a 2 hr drive for the closest station)
So my question is how can i get my hands on some decently priced 85 enough to make it worth staying E85 instead of switching to 91 octane or even some other setup if i can find it in rock springs |

e98 stored inside heated garage. I haven't used e98 until this year and I bought a few drums. Just want to make sure it stays, or I can use it up if need be. Just wans't exactly sure. Its fresh from Midwest. The e85 is from the pump and it goes fast so its always moving here. _________________ Brian C
