| My plymouth voyager has been running on E85 fuel. It is not a model on the list. I have not noticed any differences except maybe it starts alittle harder. This is only my second tank. I was wondeing if my computer is compensating for it. It seems like if i am really running lean I should get a check engine light. Just wondering since it is working fine now maybe what are the long term effects if any. The power curve is smooth and the car handles and drives like it always has. |

| i just ran my lawn mower on it yesterday. it misses occansionally but it is barely noticable and it still runs at the same rpms so performance is not an issue |

You probably won't get a check engine light on a 1994 model. Most manufacturers don't even monitor misfire or rich/lean data on their engine computers until 1996 (in which they were required to do so by law to meet OBDII standards).
I notice on my 2000 B3000 (ranger) pickup, it does run and idle a little goofy the first 30 seconds or so, especially if it's cooler outside, but that's just the nature of the ethanol.
good luck |

I noticed several people with suggestions on ATV's and lawnmowers. I commute with an older Honda Spree and would like some input on whether I should try it straight E85 or attempt modifications.
Thanks! |

1995 buick century, running e-85, usually mix 10 gals. e-85 with 6 gallons of gas, usually the mixture varies, i usually notice problems going below 2 gallons of gasoline, 3 and up is just fine for me, if i run it on pure e-85 i get a bit of stall and it runs extremely rich on hard acceleration, but nothing other than that. i had a spree once, i wouldnt risk it, those engines have issues with the rings in them, i would just keep running gasoline until it craps out finally, if you dont have too much need for it or have a backup ride feel free to try and tell. _________________ running a 95 buick century on e-85, yes it can be done!! |

| Gulp...thanks. I've been using this for Wisconsin spring and summer commutes for 12 years now. Just about to hit 10K miles. I really, really want to try it, but have become a bit attached. It's never given me any problems. |

yea, i had a spree, drove it once, coincidentally, in wisconsin, the owner brought it down here, wouldnt start, so he gave it to me, i opened the engine, it was cashed, rings broke, piston and cylinder scorched and "etched" for loss of a better word, so its easy for them to burn up, im sure using synthetic 2 stroke oil with it would help, i guess dino oils have issues with ethanol. just do a gradual fuel mix, start out with mostly gas, then gradually add e-85, NEVER go full e-85 in these engines, will most likely cause failure and running too rich in those little 50cc engines and may possibly cause oil breakdown and piston seize. a mix should be no problem. let us know! _________________ running a 95 buick century on e-85, yes it can be done!! |

E85 requires a lower A/F so running E85 in a scooter would actually cause it to run lean and possibly melt a hole in the piston. If you plan to run it in a scooter your best bet would be to up the jet size so it gets more fuel and thus gets closer to the proper A/F. This will reduce the cylinder temps and will make it run better and safer. |
