I run E85 as a performance enhancer.
I've got a 2003 Subaru WRX with 823cc injectors and a upgraded turbo. I've
been really pleased with the performance on e85.
I was curious if anyone else here was using E85 as a "RACEGAS"
I had some questions _________________ 2003 Subaru WRX

| Post your questions thorne- also look thru the old posts for some of your answers. Larry and GT both run Subaru's. |

I'm running it on my Evo and loving the poor man's race gas. Are you max'ing out your injectors yet? Might need to step up to 1000cc's? _________________ '06 Evo IX Stage 1 by RRE,Walbro 255lph fuel pump,RC Engineering1000cc Injectors, AVO exhaust,RRE flash, (325whp @ 22PSI 91 octane, 353whp @ 25psi on 100 octane, 383whp @30psi on E85),Zeitronix wideband/Ethanol Content Analyzer, Defi gauges |

It's funny how many folks actually think of ethanol as "old hat", now. Subarus probably have the largest contingent of E85 users for their population size. More new folks post in the NASIOC E85 FAQ everyday .
Don't let age or experience with this fool you. We've all made our mistakes and learned from them using the stuff. E85 and ethanol blends behave their own way. E85 requires bigger injectors. But E30 and E50 mostly don't. You can tailor your ethanol percentage to your fuel system capacity and HP requirements. I got 440cc WRX injectors to support 12 second numbers a mile above sea level with only 50% ethanol. You can skin this cat several different ways with an EFI vehicle and not have to worry about tiny adjustments. _________________ Can't leave well enough alone? Neither can we.
