Hi,
could someone give me some hints how to drive my Mercedes (190E 2.3, MY, 1993) with E85.
What do I have to Change on my Motor Equipment or my Ignition?
Thanks a lot!

Bigger (Ethanol compatible) injectors.
Fuel pump (Ethanol compatible).
Possibly any flexible (rubber like) fuel lines.
If it is going to be able to run either E85 or Gasoline, the fuel sensor to tell the new computer how much Ethanol is in the fuel system so it can adjust for it.
But if it's only going to run E85, up the compression to 12:1 and, there might be a simple dedicated system of upping the injector cycle to inject more fuel, or you could use a MegaSquirt EFI computer along with the injectors and pump.
I'm building an E85 only Buick Aluminum V8 right now. |
