Hi,

I'm also a member on Gasbuddy.com and one of the people there was looking for E85 or Methanol in Washington State for use with an FFV.

Looking at E85fuel.com the only E85 stations in WA are "Private". As for Methanol... I've usually stayed far away from it... and didn't think there was many stations that would offer it. But I did find some references to M85 and early FFVs being made for Methanol use (M85).

M85 stations where (are?) available mostly in California... but I've not been able to find a station locator like the one at E85fuel.com.

Does anyone know of M85 stations in Washington State?

Are all FFVs (from early 1990's to present) both E85 and M85 compatible?

Are those early M85 compatible FFVs also E85 compatible?

Thanks,
Dave

I know a guy who owns a little oddball 80's ford car from Calli, it runs well on e85 mixed with gas, more like e70. He says that the old cars are rather inefficient compared to the modern units but you can run ethanol instead of methanol but remember that they may have the dreaded cold start issues.

Cheers
Ryan
