I filled up this morning at downtown Minneapolis Bobby & Steve's Mobil, I-35, West Washington Ave. exit. It was $1.999/gal. for E-85 and 2.699/gal. for regular unleaded... a 70-cent spread! We've had E-85 which is 25% cheaper than regular in the past, but I'd never seen such a large difference before.
Last week, Bobby & Steve's was $2.399 E-85 and 2.799 regular (if I recall). Is this price drop just Bobby & Steve's, or are others seeing a sudden drop of 30-40 cents/gal. for E-85? |

| been there lately? I live out near Fairfax MN where a mobil station carries E85, they have NEVER been over 2 dollars for E85. It seems in the Metro area they are charging a premium for it. |

Lincoln,NE a few weeks back was charging $3.09!
Price has fallen now to $2.46
The gas stations that buy E85 on the spot market rather than a contract will have higher prices. Some times the price of ethanol spikes due to demand that's why the price is high I am told.
With more than 18 ethanol plants being built the price should keep falling.
I looked at the map that shows what States have E85 stations lately and it has spread a lot since the last time I looked.

Hmm, auraville was $1.55/gallon for E85 up until about July/Early august when I quite going through that area. When gas was over $3 a gallon I went through there and noticed e85 was up to a blistering $1.85/gallon
I've seen it as low as 85 cents but that was introductory |

In Rochester Hills, MI, they're charging $3.69 per gallon, which is about $1.30 more than regular unleaded. The fools must think it's racing gas. In Southfield, MI, they're charging about $.15 less than regular unleaded.
105 octane unleaded racing gasoline goes for $5.50/gallon in Farmington Hills, MI. |
