Hmm, the Swedes are crowding this place.

I recommend a visit to the international section of the Swedish ethanol forum:
http://etanol.nu/forum/viewforum.php?f=42

There is much knowledge at that forum. You could get good answers on anything related to E85 conversion, if you ask a question there.

Names Larry, I live in Colorado USA, at an elevation of about 5600 ft.

I am experimenting with E85 in a 2002 Subaru WRX, so far it loves the stuff.

Name is Gary, and I am an engineer living/working in Central Florida. Have been running various blends of E85 in a Chevy S10 pickup non-FFV, and have recently started looking for my next pickup, which will be an honest-to-goodness FFV.

We have both E10 and E85, in addition to gasoline (and diesel, of course) here in Central Florida.

I first used E10 gasohol in my 1978 Datsun B210 circa 1978-1980 here in Florida and it had all kinds of ethanol compatibility issues with the carburetor sticking, carburetor gaskets dissolving, and carburetor aluminum metal corroding. All of my vehicles have done fine on E10 since 1984 (various makes/models: Saturn, Chevy, GMC, Chrysler.)

Unfortunately, E85 is still only available at Kennedy Space Center in Central Florida, and is not accessible to the public yet. It will be nice to have more options for buying E85 than just one pump with two hoses fixed at one price Smile

it's really amazing the amount of mis-info on ethanol reported in the media lately. Just saw a headline from Rueters that 'Corn Production Up 34% on Ethanol use'. On reading the article it is actually ethanol production from corn is up 34% ...

I do have a background in this area as I am the one who started Gasohol (the E10 blend)...

Have to say there are some really accomplished car enthusiasts on this site!

Regards,
Jim
