Not sure how many there have been, but this might be one of the first in a major automotive magazine publication.

I just got word that a Mustang magazine will be featuring my E85 converted '99 Mustang on the cover of the August issue. (Don't want to give away the mag name just yet). It was already scheduled to be a feature inside, but they liked the story, and decided to make it cover material!! I'm so pumped!!

Maybe this will help jumpstart the aftermarket community to inform the masses that alternative fuel isn't just for conservative hippies.

On top of that, I'm entering the PINKS ALL OUT drag race competition this weekend at Rockingham Dragway. It will be aired on Speed TV later this year. There's no guarantee of TV coverage, but I'm hoping the E85 Ethanol decals on the car will help attract some attention.

Will do. The mag will come out in Mid-June so I'll repost when it comes out.

As for the PINKS show, this is the other new version of PINKS where you're not racing for titles. It's called PINKS ALL OUT, meaning you're running all out, no sandbagging. They take 300 cars and whttle them down to 16 that are running very close together. Those 16 compete against each other racing for the grand title of $10k+.

If you haven't seen it before, it's much better than PINKS itself. Check SpeedTV for a schedule it's a good show.

Stylin99- Will you be running e85 only or with nitrous?
- i have seen the version of Pinks you are referring too- and like it much better than the one where sandbagging is part of the game. My question is -How do they know if you do?

I"m running a Vortech supercharger. No nitrous.

For sandbagging, they look for obvious signs of letting off the pedal such as exhaust tone, your relation to the other car on the strip, and probably even the timeslips from up in the tower to see if the mph is consistent with the type of ET that was run.

Those are hilarious!! I've been trying to find some good funny window stickers for the E85.
