I'm building a twin turbo 403 for my GTO. Engine will be out of the machine shop next week. Shooting for 1200 crank HP or so. Using twin Turbonetics TC76 turbos. The car will also have a 100 shot of nitrous by way of a spray bar installed directly in to my Super Victor intake manifold for launching.
I would like to try no intercooler with pre and post turbo water/meth injection. Activate the water/meth at 5psi or so, with it going full flow by 10-15psi. This is still a street car. A lot of people are saying don't do it, but I really don't want to hack that front of my car all up. I could fit a small air to air, but at the flow requirements I need it would be a restriction. _________________ 2005 GTO, TH400, transbrake, 4000 stall, 403 LS2, 9.3:1, twin TC76's, 250/254 .625/.600 on a 115. |

I say give it a shot. Make sure you have alot of fuel so it is getting good automazation. I am building a fox body with an srt4 neon motor in it backed by a th350 trans I'm looking to make 750whp with no intercooler I'm running 8 fuel injectors 4 up close and 4 farther back so the fuel can mix with the air and for cooling purposes I also plan on running 35-45psi of boost _________________ 89 notchback foxbody mustang with an Srt-4 neon motor backed with a chevy th350 trans a gt4094r turbo fully built motor and head planning to run 35-45psi boost on Ethanol while hot air turboing it. 750+rwhp or Bust |

I have never done anything like you are saying , but have read a fair amount of posts on lots of high boost/e85/e98 builds
kinda like I am not doctor but play one on tv lol
since you have the meth as a security blanket one would think you could start low boost and work your way up to see how far you could go without an IC - if you cant get to the boost/hp numbers you expect to hit then its time to add an IC
you may want to lurk a bit oven on the fast fords & modular mustangs forum in the e85 section , several extreme builds over there that have ditched their IC's as they have become a restriction , plus add a complication in the form of another system to maintain/troubleshoot , and removing it also removes some weight
a lot of those ^ guys are running drum e98 though not pump e85 but your meth may make up for that , like srt said try it just use your head and if its not working realize it before you melt things.
Tonopah huh , makes me think of Lowell George from Little Feat and the song Willin' that refers to Tonopah

Sorry I cut the first post a bit short I was at work and had to hurry. I would look into running more than 8 injectors look into 16 maybe even 24 depending on the size of the injectors where you place them and your hp goals. I'm not going with meth right away I don't know that it is needed if you have extra injectors feeding fuel early on in the air stream you should be getting a good mixture going on and it should be cooling the air very nicely depending how much fuel you are sending it. I don't like the idea of the meth because if it decides not to work or something crazy like that you can prolly say good bye to your pistons. Like you said I would start off with small amounts of boost and slowly work your way up with timing and boost as long as your air intake temps are looking good. I know it is possible to run no intercooler you/I will just have to find what our setups like. I am by no means an expert on this and I don't have my car running yet but I think as long as you can feed it the fuel to suit your cooling needs depending on boost and how efficent your turbo is you should be ok.
I'm running -10 feed line and -8 return line with either 2 Bosch 044 fuel pumps are a magnafuel pump haven't decided on pump yet. I also have 4 1100cc injectors and 4 2150cc injectors I will be running all 8 of them on a 4cyl just to get the cooling and fuel I need for the power I want. It might be over kill but I would rather be able to drowned my motor with fuel than have to starve it for fuel. _________________ 89 notchback foxbody mustang with an Srt-4 neon motor backed with a chevy th350 trans a gt4094r turbo fully built motor and head planning to run 35-45psi boost on Ethanol while hot air turboing it. 750+rwhp or Bust |

i ran up to a 9.10 with no intercooler and 15lbs with a single 88mm. on a 357" motor and stock 010 block. id say you can do it but the 1200 hp level man ur gona need meth for shure. i proably would only do post turbo the liquid hitting the impeller wheels could hurt them _________________ is 8.89 good on 15lbs with a stock 010 block on pump e85?
