Yes go with a thermostat (for a street car) 10-15 degrees F warmer than the one you would use on gasoline.
On my WRX when I was drag racing on gasoline I went down from the stock 172 deg F thermostat to a 160 deg F stat to prevent detonation.
I had to go up to a 190 deg F thermostat so the engine would warm up properly in sub zero weather after I converted to E85. Without the warmer stat it would barely hit coolant temps of 185 deg F after a 17 mile highway commute from work in below zero temps. It was impossible to get the engine up to full operating temperature without going to the warmer thermostat.
The key is your oil temp, use the coolest thermostat that will give you oil temps of at least 210 deg F in cold weather, to get the oil hot enough to cook condensation moisture out of the oil.
