It was an all MOPAR final at Maryland International Raceway (MIR) last night in the footbrake class. It was my Dart and a Duster pitted next to me. My car was running great, and these slicks have 200 passes on them! Here are how my runs went:

9.370 10.910 Dial-in
0.012 0.029 R/T
1.267 1.472 Sixty foot
9.370 10.903 ET _Left finished first by 0.010
2nd round:
_Me_ Him ___He was #6 in points, but not this round, he lifted couldn't reach me.
9.370 9.000 Dial-In
0.012 0.076 R/T
1.268 1.255 Sixty foot
9.375* 9.035 _Calculated ET since I pedaled after 1000ft*
3rd round:
_Me_ Him
9.360 10.860 Dial-In
0.016 0.037 R/T
1.268 1.476 Sixty foot
9.374* 10.882 _Calculated ET since I braked*, left first by 0.011
4th round:
_Me_ Him
9.370 12.050 Dial-In
0.043 0.014 R/T
1.267 1.627 Sixty foot
9.373 12.002 _Right first by 0.081 but he ran way under! (foul)
5th round (semis):
_Me_ Him
9.370 12.450 Dial-In
0.060 0.075 R/T
1.259 1.778 Sixty foot
9.370* 12.528 _Calculated since I braked*
6th round (finals):
_Me_ Him
9.370 11.700 Dial-In
-0.033 0.019 R/T
1.273 1.586 Sixty foot
9.370 11.719
Lost in the finals with a big fat red light.
My car was running great and it was fun to have an all MOPAR final.
I just love running E-85. Runner-up paid $400 with the $41 entry. |

9.37 on almost every run. You'd make a great bracket racer _________________ '06 Evo IX Stage 1 by RRE,Walbro 255lph fuel pump,RC Engineering1000cc Injectors, AVO exhaust,RRE flash, (325whp @ 22PSI 91 octane, 353whp @ 25psi on 100 octane, 383whp @30psi on E85),Zeitronix wideband/Ethanol Content Analyzer, Defi gauges |

Nice Jim- real nice. I assume you were running the flying toilet with E85 or were you back on carb?-- edit- never mind, I see on the other thread you were on injection.
I guess I did not understand the red light bit- do you mean you jumped on the tree at start? |

Yeah Alcohol a red light is leaving early, Seems I do it far too often. Either that or I get lights in the .700 nap time range... _________________ 1970 Pontiac GeTOh 455 with a Qjet.

Alcohol,
Yes I am running the Ron's Flying Toilet mechanical injection with E-85. In bracket racing, leaving before the green light causes the red light to come on, and the racer looses automatically (a foul). Another type of foul is running faster than your Dial-in. That happened to the other guy in round 1, but I would have beat him anyway with my package (RT and ET). That is why sometimes I will brake near the finish line or pedal the throttle to avoid running faster than my dial-in when I am ahead of the other car. The times with an asterisk (*) are calculated from my 1000 ft time on the time slip since I was WOT past the 1000 ft mark. |
