Hi Guys,
Great forum.....I'm just in the process of building my new engine and I've decided to feed it some corn! Good to see a forum with lots of E85 info on it. It's all quite new in Australia with only a few pumps selling it and not very many engines dedicated to the fuel yet.
Will be a Ford Dart block with Scat stroker gear and CHI 2V 225cc heads and CHI manifold. Should end up being 412 cubes naturally aspirated. With E85 in mind, I've decided to up the comp to 13.5:1 with some new pistons. I've been looking at Pro Systems new SV1 carbs setup for ethanol and it'll have a decent solid roller cam. I was intending to run it on pump gasoline with 12:1, so I'm excited to see how this thing will go.
Just a bummer as I need to upgrade my fuel pump again. My new Magnafuel 300 won't quite feed enough ethanol for this thing.
Would be interested to see if anyone on here has built a similar engine and what the results have been. Will be mainly for my street/strip car.
Cheers,
Adrian |

Welcome to the forum, sounds like a nice build you have in mind.
We have a couple members here on the forum that do E85 carburetor builds that are very highly regarded. They both have a good track record for customer service and carburetors that have "all" the modifications to run properly on E85.
Please look around the forum and talk to them before you make a final decision on your carburetor?
