There are several websites with good information about E85 fuel, and its many benefits of use. However, some of these have out-of-date information. For example, studies published as recently as 2002 (and still displayed as "current information" on the web) predict that ethanol production will top 3 billion gallons by 2006; in fact, more than 3.4 billion gallons were produced in the US in 2004.
Additionally, these sites are one-way information sources. Often, they are maintained by an agribusiness lobby, or sometimes a government office, and push the agenda of that group. Most are either "pro-ethanol" or "anti-ethanol". There hasn't been a website by and for consumers. Also, if you have questions to ask, there is often an email contact address, but you probably won't get much of an answer.
E85.SpecialGreen.com was created to give a home for open discussions about E-85, with a free exchange of ideas and opinion, and without the oversight of the fuel or farming industries. When visiting this site, you can be confident that you can ask any question, and that your opinion is valued by other posters.
Thanks for visiting!

* I apologize in advance if this is not the right place for this post, it just seems like a good place...
I am in the process of building what I plan to be a credible and reliable site for information on alternative fuels. It is not the easiest thing to find the most current information so I try to date the articles as much as possible. I am always looking for intelligent articles on the subject, so if you find one, please let me know!
Thanks
