Most of us are using one of the synthetics. I have used both Mobil 1 (using it now) and Redline, (use it when racing).

Well we were running 5w30 Mobil1, but we're switching to 15w50 Mobil 1 for a little more viscosity and water resistance.
I was just wondering what others experiences were. |

| I have been using 5w-30 Mobil 1, Amsoil, or Syntech in the winter (it can get pretty cold here in Wisconsin- I like synthetics for cold lubrication). In the summer I tend to use a better quality 10w-30 diesel oil which uses a newer type base oil. These are daily drivers that are factory FFV's and the above oils let me stretch my intervals into the 7500 mile range- I would be comfortable in going farther if i did oil analysis but i have not done this. |

In the cars (E85 blended 50% with regular), I run Mobil1 5w30.
The motorcycle ("wet" clutch) needs high-temp dino oil, so Delvac 20w50 does the job (3 years with straight E85 now, and no valve adjustments needed). |

What kind of bike do you have. What is the compression? Any carb adjustment(assuming it has carbs)? _________________ I drive a wagon.

My 2004 posting about the motorcycle is http://e85forum.com/about6.html
GS500 Suzi, with no changes, other than rejet (stock compression is 9:1). |
