Congrats, it sounds like your truck likes E85 just fine.
I have a motorcycle whose engine design and fuel system haven't changed since it was introduced in 1976. Even for 1976, it was a conservative design: air cooled, with 2 vavles per cylinder, like a VW Beetle.
With this "old school" engine, I was not quite as fortunate as you. I had to adjust the carburetor to burn E-85; it would not even idle with the stock jetting. Also, I have seen a decrease in gas mileage of about 20-25% on the highway. But that could be because the carburetors aren't perfectly adjusted.
It sounds like you go a good thing going with the old International truck. |
