I don't recall seeing anyone discussing this, but Illinois offers Rebates for using renewable fuels.
See guidelines and application forms here:

| Quote: | | In order to be eligible for a fuel rebate, the vehicle must refuel with E-85 at least 50 percent of the time during the calendar year. Individual applicants need to save the fuel receipts for E-85 purchases made in Illinois during the calendar year (January through December). |
You can also get a rebate for purchasing a flex fuel vehicle or doing a conversion. Or for using biodiesel.
See guidelines and application forms here:

| Quote: | | For all rebates, the alternate fuel vehicle, conversion system, or alternate fuel must be purchased from an Illinois company or vendor. |
Its probably too late to start saving reciepts, but a good heads up for next year. |
