Why do you really use ethanol?

Why do you use ethanol (any blend above what is mandated)?
It smells better than gasoline. (sort of a sweet smell... weird...)

It's hard to narrow it down to just one reason, the poll needs the "check all that apply" option.

My list would be in no particular order: octane, the smell, cleaner, renewable, ^%$ the middle east, and we need to support our own economy and fellow americans.

I want the option: My car runs lots faster on it.

And its not the octane which makes the cars run better. Its the cooling effect of ethanol.

"It helps me get dates with counter-culture/vegan-types of women by being socially and environmentally conscious. Next I'll grow dreads and paint my car in groovy colors."
