We have ran E-85 in a number of different cars. We often suggest it to our customers rather than fuel injector cleaner. We have ran it in our own vehicles since Aug 05 without any problems. You probably have a 3.1 in that car which is a great motor besides some intake manifolds gaskets leaking. If it is'nt to cold were you live you should be able to run it with out reflashing or replacing the prom but you will not get as good of mileage. I would first put about a half a tank of E-85 in your car. It will have a little hesitation about the first minute as the computer adjusts if it continues to run bad just fill the rest of the tank with regular. It might have some cold start issues usually we open the throttle all the way until it starts and then run it at 2500 rpm for a 10seconds. Let it warm up for about a min. and the hesitation will go away. If you live were the temp is often below freezing then I would wait until the summer with warmer weather all the cold start issues dissapate _________________ Albuquerque Auto Tech

no, its a 2.2l, and yes i do have a manifold gasket leak that i cant fix because i cant afford it, it isnt a major problem unless my coolant bottle is overfilled. i did the 50/50, then 100, and switched back because it was running on the overly rich side, which i expect to correct with a chip or flex-***. _________________ running a 95 buick century on e-85, yes it can be done!! |
