How many of you would be interested in a run of 5-10? I can probably get them done for $5-10 apiece. I'd like to just do one for me, but I don't know what it'd say.
"You just got your ass beat with a corn stalk."
"You just got smoked by a corn stalk."
"You just lost to a corn stalk."
"Powered by E85"
"Drunk on E85!"
"Got corn?"
"Got ethanol?"
"Grap on my corn stalk."
"Smell something? It's E85!"
"It's fast AND clean."
"Get in, sit down, shut up, and take a sniff!"
...I could go on. I do drunken post-whoring waaaaaay too much . _________________ http://www.grantouringlabs.com My ethanol conversion and tuning site. |

Grap on my Corn Stalk? You've been hanging around NASIOC way too much...
I still like "Powered by Corn" or HotRod's "F.E.L.R.S" (Fuel Ethanol Lab Rat Society). |

Had to throw in a "grap" reference ...
FELRS would work, too. The car has no stickers on it right now at all. I'm carefully selecting anything that goes on it in the future. No Autozone ricer graffix, y0! _________________ http://www.grantouringlabs.com My ethanol conversion and tuning site. |

Hi,
FYI if you are putting stickers on the glass of your vehicle I've found using Rain-X on clean glass will provide a nice surface to place stickers and yet they can easily be removed when they aren't needed or you want to move them. No scraping needed.
Not sure what effect Rain-X would have on traditional Chrome bumpers...
Not recommended for plastics. |

How about a sticker like this to stick on your gas cap cover?
We older folks need something more subtle when it comes to putting stickers on our beloved cars.

I received the stickers in the mail today.
Seemed like a good time to put them under the microscope and put them through hell.
The stickers are a little grainy, but are not jagged edged. Looking at them up close makes you think they are out of focus. This is probably from enlarging the image from the site. The colors in the sunburst between the E and the 85 have some color artifacts (orange pixels on yellow background). I have to wonder if this is from color-reduction. It seems hard to believe because the edges of the lettering don't have the telltale jaggedness from color-reduction. Most likely these artifacts are from the original image. The vinyl the stickers are printed on is very nice. Yes it is vinyl and not paper. Pretty durable stuff and hard to tear by hand, doesn't stretch too far before breaking. It does break and not tear, kind of like higher quality electrical tape. The adhesive is not gooey to the touch. It sticks to paper just fine, but it can be peeled off and used again without tearing the paper or picking up paper fiber. Perfect for temporary use and peel off. Doesn't leave a film when peeled. In terms of sticky-ness the glue isn't harsh, I'd compare it to the adhesive on sticky-note paper, only about 2x stronger. The colors are waterproof from what I can tell, but there is no surface cover over the paint. A splash of 91% alcohol and a little rubbing removed and smudged the ink. So if you want the sticker near your gas tank, don't spill any fuel on it. Stickers are basically 3x5 index card sized. Colors are on a white background, perfect for putting on magnetic sheets. Backing paper is a waxed paperboard.
We probably need a higher resolution picture before trying anymore stickers. Overall though, I like the stickers. I should have a sticker mounted on a magnetic sheet and on the car for a photo test sometime after I come back from my vacation. |

All that should be easy to fix. If those are in the open domain a phone call to the owner of the logo should net you a hi-res image I would suspect. If not a scanner and some time with image software can fix all that pretty easily.
I Like burnalcohols "Ethanol kicks gas!" but to avoid mixing up the average folks on the street I would suggest a minor change to:
"Fuel Ethanol kicks gas!" Perhaps with a cartoon kid kicking a gallon gas can if you want to get fancy.
Add a small print tag line "support America" or for those into more graphic displays a "piss on foreign oil" might work as an alternate tag line.
I may need to pick up one of those E85 logo stickers myself.
