Can anyone please give me advice on the best way to get my car tuned. It's a 2001 twin turbo 2 valve mustang running E85. Currently I am tuning with SCT. I am running into a lot of trouble making progress with the 160 # injectors as my tuner said that trying to slope them the software says the values are out of range?

I have also heard some people say to tune completely in open loop? Any input is appreciated. Thank you

Sean

So I did a quick check and it looks like SCT is a tuner intended for use with the factory ECU and sensors, is that correct? If so, then my guess is that the airflow inferred by those injectors is too much for the MAF.

Does the SCT take into account what kind of fuel you are using, or does it assume gasoline? If it doesn't know about your fuel, then you could try telling it that you are using injectors ~30% smaller than they really are - say 115lb/hr instead. If it's trying to estimate airflow from the injector size then this might give it a better representation given you are using e85.

Personally I prefer tuning with EGO corrections off (open loop), as I don't trust the feedback to work properly until the fuel tables are dialed in.
