Sweet run -- that Jeep seems to really hook up and go.
PS. I really like that front bumper too. _________________ E85 racer and E85 carb builder

Lemme guess.... Mark put you up to that bumper remark. my wife put him up to it so i guess he passed it on to you. See i spent about 2 hrs building and polishing the front bumper, and about 2000 hrs building the rest of the Jeep, and all i heard when someone saw the jeep was Wow check out that bumper. talk about irony. but thanx for the complement anyways......... _________________ good friends and fresh mud!!! it just doesn't get any better than this!!! |

im sorry Jay, yeah im guilty....Eric is a friend and I did do some heavy bragging about your jeep to him...told him how impressed i was and told him to come watch the video....
then i told him about the bumper deal....lol
the jeep has some killer sheet metal work and is just as much a work of art as it is a racer.....alot of innovative stuff on there.
cant wait til the weekend....see you Sat AM. |

Mark did put me up to the bumper comment But I really do like your Jeep (including the bumper). The sheet metal work is cool too, but I don't know much about mud racing, I'm guessing there is a benefit to using the diamond plate and shaping it the way it is. _________________ E85 racer and E85 carb builder

the diamond plate started as a rust camo job, then kinda snowballed from there. i trimmed over 22lbs off each front fender/inner fender and have complete engine bay sealing (to keep mud out). the whole front clip pulls off in 5 min by pulling 5 bolts and weighs less than 52lbs including real glass head lights, blinkers. ect... Makes it super easy to work on, no standing on milk crates and bending over, just sit on a tire and go. the whole jeep weighs 1980lbs with me in it and a full load of fuel (2.37gals).sorry we couldn't make the Linn race, but if your not busy on the 10th or the 17th, come and see how us rednecks race. you just might be suprised...I think Mark was. anyways thanx for the complements.......Jay _________________ good friends and fresh mud!!! it just doesn't get any better than this!!! |
